Programs for Seniors (50+)

Senior Center ProgramsThe Senior Center is a place for adults age 50 or better. We offer a wide variety of classes, special events, day trips, fitness programs, card playing groups, social clubs and more! Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend with you! A few of the activities and programs include Tai Chi, Wii Bowling, Quilting, Billiards and much more. For a list of programs being offered please refer to your seasonal program brochure or download it by clicking the brochure image located in the left column of this page. The Senior Center is located at 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Depending on the timing of our Senior Center newsletter, trips listed in the seasonal brochure may not have availability. Please check with the Senior Center front desk staff for more information on these trips and availability. Call 847-551-4307.

Day Trip Refund Policy
Because we must finalize full payment six weeks prior to our event, the following procedures are always in place: If you must cancel your day trip, we will do our best to find a replacement. When a replacement is found, our Park District will issue a full refund. If we do not find a replacement, we are unable to refund your money. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Pickleball

A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for
experienced players. Equipment provided; must wear athletic shoes.

An Afternoon at the Movies
Fourth Friday of the month at 12:30 pm. Check with the front desk for the movie title.
Senior Center Bingo
First and third Friday each month from 12:30-2:30 pm, and the last Wednesday of each month from 9:00-11:30 am.
Billiards Tournament
Second Friday of the month at 9:00 am. Wii & Wii Tournaments Wii is offered on a weekly basis. Please check with the Senior Center front desk for dates and times.
